FIRST STEP: TO DOWNLOAD EMULE
Download the last version 0.47c of eMule here:http://www.emule-project.net.
We must download three archives:
1. Installer v0.47c: this application installs emule of interactive
form by means of a install program that includes all the languages, but archives
of help. You can download here: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/emule/eMule0.47c-Installer.exe
2. Binary files v0.47c: it contains the archives necessary
to execute emule. You must unzip it. Download free here: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/emule/eMule0.47c.zip
3. Source code v0.47c: it contains the source code of this
version, presented in compressed or zip format. You can find more information
in the file “readme.txt.”
SECOND STEP: TO EXECUTE THE CONFIGURATION ASSISTANT
When we finish the installation, it will ask to us if we want to execute the
configuration assistant. We executed and we left it the options that put like
“default”.
Dont forget to mark our connection Internet (an ADSL connection usually is
DSL 128 updownd /512 download).
In order to begin to work with it Emule it´s necessary to have a server
to connect itself. Emule give us a list of servers already.
THIRD STEP: TO CONNECT TO EMULE
1. Click the button “To connect” and automatically
Emule try to connect itself to a server of the list; if it fails, happened to
the following one. When connecting itself to a server, and automatically Emule
updates the list of servers, reason why we will not have worry on this subject.
2. We must be in High ID. For it we must have open the ports 4662 TCP and the
4672 UDP.
In order to know if we are connected in Low ID, we watched in the icon of
down the right and if the arrow are in green it´s that we are in High
ID (your ports of connection must be open or you must know as they are opened
in your router or firewall's, the case is that they are free).

FOURTH STEP: CONFIGURATION OF EMULE
To the right of everything, click in “Preferences”
1. Configuration of the language: So that
Emule takes all eLinks is needed that button “ED2K Links” this pressing.

2. Configuration of the connection: This is the
most important configuration. To put a configuration for ADSL 256 and to activate
the square of “Autoconecting”.
All this ready one to have ours Emule working. The rest of the handling of Emule
is easy, seriously. To see that beams with him…
